Overview: Rainbow Weekend in Steamboat Springs features many events perfect for the whole family. In particular, the Balloon Rodeo and Art In The Park are the favorite highlights that draw the most crowds. The Balloon Rodeo is an amazing event that takes place early in the morning and boasts more than 40 hot air balloons. The balloons take off in the morning and float over the valley. When you see all the colorful dots against the sky and mountains, you'll understand why the event is so popular with photographers. Each year they produce many photos that are then duplicated and available around town. The rodeo part of the event involves each balloonist piloting against difficult obstacles.

Fees: Free to the public
