Overview

Snow tubing in the Rocky Mountains holds thrills for everyone, and the tubing in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is no exception. If you’ve never tried it before, don’t be shy. Get right down that hill!

Whether visiting on an extended vacation or just out for a weekend of recreation, snow tubing should be one of your top activities. Float over the snow, feeling slightly out of control, but in complete safety.

Snow tubing gives riders a feeling of freedom that can’t be beat. And what’s more, the whole family can enjoy it together.

Where to go Snow Tubing

Rather than taking off on your own to find a hill for solo-tubing, eliminate the hassle by visiting one of the facilities designed especially for the sport. They make it easy to get started, whether you’re new or an old hand.

Facilities generally have a slower lane for those not quite ready for the daring speeds you can reach on your tube. This makes the snow tubing experience a real pleasure no matter your skill level. All in all, this is a must-do for everyone, from young to old.

  • Howelsen Hill
In addition to other winter activities, Howelsen Hill has a magic carpet for snow tubes. Hop on the carpet, ride it to the top of the hill, then jump on your tube for a thrilling ride down the snow track.
  • Saddleback Ranch
Yee Haw Hill is a place people owe it to themselves to experience. There's a modern tube-towing setup to get you from the bottom to the top of the mountain before you can even catch your breath.  The only time you'll want to stop is for a quick drink to warm up before heading back out!

Rentals & Fees

Reservations are recommended, as the tubing hill hours can change because of weather or private functions.

Because personal tubes and sleds aren't permitted, snow tubes are included in the price of the ticket, which are generally good for one hour, or one and a half hour sessions.

Be sure to inquire about discounts for large groups.
