Here, in the winter, you can go snowmobiling, horseback riding, sleigh riding and tubing, or just take some time to relax.
The kid’s programs at Steamboat are also recognized as being top-notch nationally. They have Kids Vacation Center houses with indoor and outdoor programs for children ages 6 months-5 years. The ski area also has five kids-only lifts and two special beginner teaching areas with their own Magic Carpet lifts. More advanced kids (6-15 years) can try out the kids-only ski terrain at Rough Rider Basin that has its own lift Indian teepees and a fun Wild West theme. Teens and adults can also participate in ski and snowboarding clinics with their own age group and the right skill level.
That covers winter, but summer is also a great time for family friendly vacations in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. During the summer, the mountains are alive with wildlife, mountain streams, and wildflowers. There is nothing like taking a hike through the beautiful scenery to help you to bond to your family.
