Town Parks

The town parks of Steamboat Springs offer families and individuals alike a great opportunity for relaxation and recreation alike.  

  • Over 28 parks are available within the city of Steamboat Springs.
  • No glass containers are allowed in city parks.
  • Howelson Hill offers a variety of multi-use trails that cater towards mountain bikers, horseback riders and hikers to share many recreation opportunities.

Overview

The town parks are overseen by the city of Steamboat Springs. There are over 1,000 acres of park land that is available throughout the area. Reservations are available for different facilities including the Howelson Park facilities (including baseball fields, a rodeo arena and the beach/volleyball area and the Ski Town Sports Complex).

Seasons

The town parks are open year-round. However, certain activities are certainly dependent upon the season. Field conditions can also be addressed by calling (970) 879-8552.

Activities

Park facilities offer an abundance of activities to travelers. For example, in Howelson Park facilities, baseball fields, rodeo arena and a beach/volleyball area are available for travelers in addition to the Ski Town Sports Complex.
