Steamboat Mountain Soccer Tournament
The Steamboat Mountain Soccer Tournament is a very popular event in town. Soccer is one of the world's favorite sports, so it's no wonder that this tournament is known to draw crowds every year.
The Steamboat Mountain Soccer Tournament is a yearly event perfect for the entire family. The tournament is organized by dividing each team according to age. Team standings are calculated according to this point system:
win: 3 points
tie: 1 point
loss: 0 points
forfeits: 3 points to beneficiary of forfeit
If two or more teams in flight or grouping garner the same amount of total points as the preliminary rounds come to a close, the team that moves forward will be determined in descending order by the following:
* Head to head (if head to head was played)
* Goals against (team with lowest goals against advances)
* Goal differential (maximum goal differential to be put in consideration is 3 per game)
* Number of Red cards (team with the least amount of red cards moves forward)
* Goals for (team with most amount of goals; maximum 3 per game)
* Taking of penalty kicks.
