Literary Sojourn

Literary Sojourn is a yearly event that draws authors and book lovers to the Rocky Mountains. Every year about 500 readers from across the country come together in Steamboat Springs to meet their favorite authors and celebrate their love of reading.

The event consists of readings and presentations by five authors, who have been recognized on a national basis, discussing a wide range of topics including their inspirations, the things that annoy them, and how they come up with different ideas and characters. In addition, authors are available during the entire event to sign copies of their books. So get that autograph you've always wanted!

In the past celebrity authors attending the event have included Pulitzer Prize winner E. Annie Proulx, and best-selling mystery authors Robert Crais, Tony Hillerman, and Michael Connelly. The event has even featured Oprah's Book Club authors Chris Bohjalian, Andre Dubus III, and Jacquelyn Mitchard. Other notables include New York Times best-selling authors Alan Lightman, Rick Bragg, and Gail Tsukiyama. If you have a passion for reading and books, nothing could be better than attending this event. Brush shoulders with your favorite authors and hear them speak about their books.

It looks like you may have missed it this time around.
