Literary Sojourn
Literary Sojourn is an annual gathering of authors and book lovers set in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Each year, 500 readers from all over the country gather in Steamboat Springs to meet the creators of their favorite books and to celebrate, first and foremost, the joy and inspiration of books and reading. more info
The day features readings and presentations by five nationally recognized authors on topics such as what inspires them, what makes them tick, and where their characters and ideas come from. Authors are on hand throughout the day to sign copies of their books.
Past celebrities include Pulitzer Prize winner E. Annie Proulx, bestselling mystery authors Robert Crais, Tony Hillerman, and Michael Connelly. There have also been Oprah's Book Club authors Chris Bohjalian, Andre Dubus III, and Jacquelyn Mitchard. And, New York Times bestselling authors Alan Lightman, Rick Bragg, and Gail Tsukiyama.
