Steamboat Springs is one of the most sincere Colorado mountain towns. The beauty of the land is reflected in Steamboat's artisan population. During your visit, be sure to wander through the boutiques and galleries that are filled with local, handmade treasures.
Over 250 gift shops, art galleries, outdoor retailers, western outfitters and cafes reveal bits and pieces of Steamboat Spring's culture and personality. The shops vary in price and specialty. You will be sure to find exactly what you need, whether it is a gift, a keepsake, artwork, home furnishings or some extra winter layers! There are two primary shopping areas: the Mountain Village (at the base of the ski resort) and Steamboat Spring's downtown. They are about 3 miles apart, and both cater to pedestrians. A free bus will provide you with a chance to sit down and take a break in between your shopping destinations.
