The Yampa Core Trail

The Yampa Core Trail stretches for seven miles and is available for multiple uses. It trails along the beautiful Yampa River from Walton Creek Road and highway 40 to the James Brown Bridge on Shield Drive.

The Yampa Core Trail is the perfect way to see nature the way it was meant to be experienced. The public is able to access nature and enjoy recreational activities for the whole family. Some people even use this trail to get to and from work.

In addition, the Yampa River Core Trail between Emerald Park soccer fields and Fish Creek Mobile Home Park provides a gate into the amazing Botanic Park - you can access this park by cycling or on foot.

The Botanic Park is the ideal place if you want to enjoy a break. The best part is, you can enter the park for free! This is an inexpensive way to enjoy the area. The gardens provide a home to many different native birds and butterflies that you can enjoy viewing for hours on end. Benches and walkways allow you to sit down and have a picnic. There's no better place to relax and have a good time.
