Pearl Lake State Park
Pearl Lake State Park, nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, offers peace and quiet in a lush forest setting. Pearl Lake State Park near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is an incredibly peaceful area, lush and green, a true escape from the day-to-day routine.
During the winter season, park roads and facilities are closed by over 300 inches of annual snowfall. Pearl Lake State Park remains open to foot and snowmobile access throughout the winter. The quiet solitude and beauty of the park can be explored by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.
You can also leave your tent at home and stay in one of the two yurts at Pearl Lake available for reservations year-round.
Yurts, reminiscent of tents used by nomads on the steppes of Mongolia and Siberia, are round tents on a wooden frame with circular skylights and windows to provide illumination. Built on an elevated deck, the 20-foot diameter yurts sleep up to six people. Facilities include electric heat and power, a ceiling fan and light, screened windows and a skylight. The yurts are located in sites 6 and 16. Yurt 6 is accessible for people with disabilities.
During the summer, visitors can enjoy all the facilities Pearl Lake and nearby Steamboat Lake offer.
The 167 acre reservoir is the perfect setting for a leisurely paddle along the shore.
Picnickers can enjoy seven developed sites with tables and grills overlooking the lake. If preferred, picnickers can chose their own spot along the shore.
