Pearl Lake Colorado State Park

Pearl Lake State Park is located in the mountains just north of Steamboat Springs. It is a great escape if you want to experience genuine peace and quiet in a setting surrounded by gorgeous forests. Camp along the lake and enjoy some fishing while you're here.

Pearl Lake State Park is situated near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The area is very peaceful and full of green trees, which makes it easy to escape from your daily routine.

In the winter, take note that park roads and facilities often close due to the more than 300 inches of snowfall received each year. However, Pearl Lake State Park stays open to foot and snowmobile access all winter. The quiet and natural beauty of the park is often enjoyed by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Or, forget about camping and stay in one of the two yurts at Pearl Lake that are available with reservations.

Yurts are basically tents used by nomads on the steppes of Mongolia and Siberia. They are round tents built on a wooden frame with skylights in the shape of circles, and windows that allow a little light to enter.
