Buffalo Pass, Colorado is a sporting enthusiast's delight. If you enjoy biking on fast, smooth, and rolling track with a collection of climbing and technical sections, Buffalo Pass will not disappoint.
The Buffalo Pass trailhead is situated approximately 15 miles outside of town. After ascending a short while the trail evens out and starts heading downward over the next 7 to 8 miles. The trail has both smooth forest sections and short uphill sections for fast riding. It's really a lot of fun!
Technical riding is not a necessity. After only one series of switchbacks going uphill (and one down) the final ascent to the ski area begins. At the top, it's recommended you ride a few hundred feet west to the big chair lift just to see the spectacular views. The town of Steamboat will be in your sight.
